the organelles discovery
The Cell Wall was first discovered in 1665. The scientist that is credited to the discovery is Robert Hooke, who was the man who originally identified the structures in a sample of cork. He used the first compound microscope that he invented. He gave us the first part of the organelle's name, "cell," because it reminded him of the small plain rooms that monks lived in, which share that name. The last part of the name, "wall," was given because, just like the walls of a building, it keeps that cell rigid and upright.

The function of the organelle is to provide the plant with protection and structure. This job is achievable by is't sturdy molecular structure of cellulose. The cellulose is a complex carbohydrate that is made from thousands of glucose molecules these carbohydrates form`cellulose microfibrils that is linked with glycans to increase the tensile strength. the function of the cell wall is related to the structure because the cellulose microfibrils are tough and rigid this is what give the plant its strong structure and protections.

where is's found
Plant cells contain the cell wall because it helps keep the plant standing up right towards light through structure and protects the cells internal organelles and pressure from too much water loss. Animal cells do not require cell walls and lack them because they rely on bones to give them structure.
This specified organelle only appears once within each plant cell because it surrounds the outside of of the cell. This is different from other specified organelles like the mitochondria which can appear more within different cells depending on that cells function. There are NO cells in the human body that would require the support of the cell wall because they only appear within plant cells. One example of a plant cell that would require a cell wall would be the stomata of a leaf which open on the bottom to exchange gas during photosynthesis.

The cell wall works in conjunction with the large vacuole. the cell wall needs the large vacuole to keep turgor pressor. turgor pressor is when the cell wall is being pushed by the large vacuole then it is full of water. this allows the cell wall to preform its functions efficiently and keep the cell upright and rigid.
